The latest BlackBerry app offers comprehensive film info, movie trailers, movie tweets, critics’ and consumer reviews and ticket-buying all in one place. RIM has announced an update for Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones. Available today in BlackBerry Beta Zone is Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones v2.1. The biggest news that I’m really glad to see is the multiple account support.
Twitter updates include:
- Additional Profile Functions – The ‘My Profile’ will have two new icons: Edit Profile and Switch Accounts. Now users can use the Edit Profile icon right from the Profile screen to change a picture or update personal information.
- Multi-Account Support - The new Multiple Account Support feature allows users to have up to five accounts on their Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones app. When logged into multiple accounts, the current user name will appear in the upper-left corner of the header bar and the user picture will appear in the My Profile icon. Users can switch between accounts by using the Switch Account function, accessible from My Profile or via the Menu. Users can also cross-post Tweets and Retweets from one account to another without switching the current account view.

I did see where some got this update yesterday but I finally did get my notification through app world via my 9700. Above is the release notes for this new version. BerryBlow Apps let us know that their new PhotoStudio application has been released as a public Beta. With Photo Editor users can turn their BlackBerry into a fantastic photo editing studio that allows them to mix operations, clips and effects.
I have been messing around with it for quite a while this morning and so far it has yet to disappoint.
Main Features
- Base photo operations: brightness, contrast, RGB color adjustment, hue, saturation etc.
- Transform operations: resize, rotate, crop.
- A set of clips. Apply set of beautiful digital frames to your photos.
- A bunch of effects. Grayscale, Ocean, Sepia, Mystique, Pink, Disco 80s, Old style, Old newspaper, Rainbow, Office style, Behind the glass and so on…
- Combine operations: Apply single or multiple effects to one image.
- Several output formats: Save the result in two formats: you can save a result as screen dimensions photo or you can apply all stored operations to an original photo.
Supported devices: with OS 5 and higher with 480×360 screen dimensions
