I honestly figured The BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell would be dropped in to the Pearl Family but CrackBerry says they can confirm the 9670 will be put into a new product family called BlackBerry Style.

The BlackBerry 9670 is a flip device with full keyboard and is set to be released with BlackBerry 6.

What do you think of the new Family Name. You can definitely say it has Style!

Well we had some info that indicated a September 15th launch for the BlackBerry Torch

9800 on the Rogers network, however Rogers announced via their blog that it will be released September 24th. 

Info from Rogers: The BlackBerry Torch 9800 will join Rogers’ lineup on September 24. The only smartphone to have a BlackBerry keyboard and full touch screen will be available for purchase in-store and on Rogers.com for as low as $199.99.

Available beginning this football season

North American leader in sports wagering products, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, LEROY’S SPORTSBOOKS (LEROY’S), launches its mobile phone sports betting application, simply named the LEROY’S® APP©, and it will be available beginning this football season for Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry® users to legally bet on sports anywhere in the state of Nevada on their BlackBerry® mobile phones. The LEROY’S® APP© was developed with LEROY’S® sister company, Computerized Bookmaking Systems, Inc. (CBS), and with the help of BlackBerry’s Sports division.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board recently approved the LEROY’S® APP©, and it is currently available to BlackBerry® users on Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile, with other wireless carriers coming soon.

Verizon Wireless announced today that a new premium subscription movie service from Crackle, the multi-platform video entertainment network from Sony Pictures Television, is now offered on V CAST Video.  Available on the largest, most reliable wireless voice and 3G data network in the United States, Crackle Movies provide Verizon Wireless customers an unparalleled lineup of movie hits from the Sony Pictures library, including "Cable Guy," "Finding Graceland," "Blind Date," "The China Syndrome," "Easy Rider," "Gattaca," "La Bamba," and more to watch on their phones.

"This new option for V CAST Video customers will let them watch movies on demand on their phones.  Crackle Movies’ catalog rounds out the choices for our customers," said Terry Denson, vice president of content acquisition and strategy at Verizon.

The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is available now from Rogers. You can see above  the device is available in Smokey Violet, I wonder how many different colors will be available as this device launchers with other carriers.  Although this device does not have all the extras some other newer BlackBerry devices have, this  appears to be some pretty aggressive pricing for the end user.
