Google Voice is beginning to give out invitations to Google Voice users.  Just like when Google launched Gmail by invitation only, existing Gmail users had a certain number of invites, they could use to invite friends. Now this option will start being available for current Google Voice users. If you currently use Google Voice, over the next few weeks, you’ll see an “Invite a friend” link appear on the left-hand side of your inbox. I am glad to see Google has decided to do this with Google Voice now.

screenshot1Google Voice will be rolling out these invitations gradually, so don’t worry if you don’t see your invitations immediately. Initially  three invites will be given out  to each account, with more invitations expected to be provided in the future.

If you don’t have an account yet, you can request a Google Voice invitation HERE, or really talk nice to your friends that already have an account and be one of the Three invites they can soon send.
