Before Filescout became a premium application, I had it on my BlackBerry 8900 and 9700 both for a long time.  Through many device swaps and OS updates at some point I lost the application and had gone without it for a while recently.  A few days ago I noticed while perusing the BlackBerry Sites Application Store I noticed that it was indeed updated to support the Torch 9800.  I decided that I should have it again and proceeded to purchase it right away.  Filescout has many features but the one that I really like having is the ability to zip and unzip files directly from my BlackBerry.  I know it’s probably easy to write off the need for this feature for many people but for me it’s a huge asset and it actually came in handy the following day.  I was chatting via Yahoo messenger with a close friend of mine from my Torch when she sent me a file through Yahoo Chat.  The file was a zipped folder full of icons that she wanted to show me and had I not purchased Filescout I would have been dead in the water needing to transfer to my PC to view them.  However, since I did in fact have the app loaded I simply downloaded it and jumped into filescout where I was able to unzip it and browse the icon images in a matter of seconds.  Well worth my $6.99 if you ask me!
